Not all Maui a adventure Vans make the steep drive to the summit (10,000 ft in just 45 miles) schedule enough time for the adventure.

we ask if you do book a van that goes to the Summit that you please do not take multiple trips up and down as it’s exceptionally strenuous on the engine and brakes.

No. The vans are NOT built for driving off-pavement, so dirt roads are off-limits. Especially the rough, winding section of road between Haleakala Park (7 Sacred pools) in Kipahulu and Mile Marker 30 in Kaupo Guests will incur a $750,fine for driving on this prohibited portion of road. 

Yes! We highly recommend enjoying the road to Hana. Typical drive time with a few stops for Banana bread and waterfalls can be 4-8 hrs depending on traffic time of day and which direction you are heading . Please be aware the road to Hana can be any variation of the following : narrow, winding, 1 lane, wet, muddy , washed out. It is always a good idea to check weather conditions the night before your road trip. There is no rough , wild camping in Hana or,the Road to Hana. All camping must be done inside private or Public campgrounds.

Yes! Our camper vans all have power inverters that include at least 4 USB ports, as well as two 3-prong outlets for any charging needs. 

We offer a moderate cancellation policy. Reservations may be cancelled within 24 hours of booking for a full refund. Reservations cancelled after that 24 hour booking period, but more than 14 days before your arrival date will result in a 75% refund. Reservations cancelled 7 days or less before your arrival date will result in a 50% refund. Keep in mind cancellation policies vary among booking platforms, which means your booking’s specific cancellation policy may be different than what is listed above.

Insurance is required to drive our Camper Vans. Full coverage insurance cost $19.99 per day and is provided by a nationally recognized Underwriter that specializes in Camper Van insurance coverage . Additional optional road side service $9.99 per da.

We will waive our insurance fee if you have your own RV insurance policy or policy that covers our vans specifically. Keep in mind that RV rentals vary from a typical car rental, so the coverage requirements are different. If you have sufficient coverage for RV rentals and prefer to use that coverage from your personal auto policy, simply send us an email at MauiAdventureVans@gmail.com to receive an insurance binder request form, then send it to your insurance company so they can confirm with us that you have RV rental insurance for the dates of your trip. We must receive confirmation of coverage directly from your insurance company in order to waive the fee from our insurance partner. A $500 security deposit is required.

Maui Adventure vans is stoked to welcome you to Maui! When you book a reservation we ask that you contact our fleet manager to arrange check in and arrange pick up and drop off if requested. Text your arrival details to Rob at 808-283-1995 he is also on WhatsApp Scheduling 1 week in advance is recommended.

We do not offer any airport parking lot pick up or drop off options at this time, as commercial/rental vehicle parking is not allowed at Kahului (OGG) airport. However, our location is a super easy 15 minute Uber ride , or preschedule your pick up for $20 our fleet manager (Rob) will pick you up.

If you are scheduled to arrive after-hours, please notify us so we are aware you will be doing an unassisted pick up. We will share with you instructions on where to locate your camper van, how to access the key and any other important information.

No, you cannot camp overnight just anywhere. Overnight camping is allowed at campgrounds and is enforced by the law and local communities. We do not allow illegal camping. Booking with Maui an adventure vans allows you access to our extensive list of public, private and free campgrounds locations. (Free locations are provided upon check in.) 

Yes! Camping on Maui has become extremely popular and campgrounds fill up fast, so please plan ahead. Once you book a campervan, feel free to email us for guidance if you are having trouble finding a campground to reserve.

Among the hundreds of beaches around the island, a few dozen have nice fresh water showers and well-maintained bathrooms between the beach and the parking lot. Many campgrounds also have showers available, including Camp Olowalu (You can purchase a $10 day pass if you’re not camping here). Some Maui Adventure Vans come with a pressurized solar shower , perfect for a quick rinse.
